Biogen Ends Clinical Trial
Page 9
In December of 2019, Don was examined by 5 neurologists and 2 neuropsychologists who had observed him over the past year. All said they couldn’t believe he was the same man they had seen before. The changes have been remarkable. Two days later we were notified that his trial was terminated.
It took us time to realize that Biogen had halted another trial utilizing BIIB092 because it didn’t meet its endpoint goals. This was the trial for Supernuclear Palsy, called the PASSPORT Trial. Biogen refused to acknowledge Don’s trial because they didn’t sponsor it. They will not grant him access under Compassionate Use or the Right-To-Try Act. We do not know how else to appeal to them. We are pleading with them to re-examine their policy. |
